Punta Cana, Dominican Republic - October, 2000
Thursday
After a late night, breakfast was nearly missed but we made it just before the doors were closed and the breakfast food was removed to get ready for lunch at the Ambar buffet. The remainder of the morning was spent resting and floating in the water as we soaked up the sunshine. Before we went to the Coral Grill for lunch we were making plans to go on the banana boat, take out the kayaks or peddle boats or possibly even go to the reef to snorkel. That all changed during lunch when we met a beer man named Ramone!
As we waited for lunch at the Coral Grill, Ramone introduced himself and starting coming with a tray full of Cerveza every ten minutes or so. We would tip him a dollar each time, being a smart man he started appearing every five minutes or so. He would bring 5 Cerveza each time and give the extra one to someone different each time. Lunch appeared about 20 or 30 minutes after we ordered, by that time we were having the best lunch of our lives. Things were getting a little out of hand, as the pictures show.

We went back to the Don Simon (the Mexican restaurant) at the Beach Resort, it was excellent. However, I was feeling the effects of the afternoon party and didn't appreciate the free Tequila and Margarita's as much this time. After supper we took a stroll around the Resort and settled in for the entertainment at the Beach Resort. Again the entertainment at the Beach Resort was very impressive, it was different each night and varied from dance numbers, to bands, to interaction with the audience. You could sit and chat, enjoy the night, have a drink and take in the Dominican atmosphere
It was a great relaxing night on...................
